Copper Snake & Leather Necklace

You cannot really portray the Arizona desert without including the dreaded rattlesnake. But who says it can't be 'cute'. I made this from copper, acid etched the design, and then hand colored it with colored pencils; adding silver dot accents to highlight it. It's finished off with a silver halo and 5 strands of delicate saddle brown leather interspersed with more silver dots. The snake has 3 thin layers of lacquer to make it quite resilient. This is quite an exquisite piece that you'll be sure to enjoy all the compliments you get. The necklace is approximately 26" long and has lobster clasp on it. The snake pendant is approximately 3-1/2" long x 1" wide.
